The Nasi Bungkus Padang was good but not spectacular. The flavor was mild, and the beef was generally a little tough and drier than I would've liked. The dish was decent overall - 7/10 The Nasi Telor Komplit sauce was very flavorful, like a fish sauce mix with soy sauce which I found to be deeply enjoyable. The beef here had the same issue that I mentioned where it was just not tender enough to my satisfaction, but otherwise great flavor. 8/10 The Chicken Soup Lamongan was good but maybe felt like a glorified chicken broth. The shredded chicken was a little dry here but overall not bad. 7/10

Tastes like the food hack home 😋 Got enough food for two. I absolutely loved the iced milo dinosaur, sate kambing (goat satay), and tempeh mendoan (half-cook fried tempeh). The cumi goreng telor asin (fried calamary salted egg) was also really good, but I wished there was more of the runny salted egg sauce on it. The bebek goreng sambal ijo (fried duck w/ green chili) was decent but not as good as the one I’m used to eating. Would totally recommend!

Hands down this is the better Indonesian restaurant in NY! Food is seriously good — everything we ordered had strong flavor and came out fresh. Portions are solid and the pricing feels very fair for the quality. The place is clean and comfortable, and service is smooth without any issues. What stood out most was the owner — genuinely kind and welcoming, checks in on you and makes the whole experience feel more personal. It’s the kind of spot that’s easy to come back to and bring friends. Definitely recommend.

I vote this restaurant as Indonesian restaurant with the best service and atmosphere. Not only Awang that sometimes greet the customers, both waiters are very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant seems to always filled with Indonesian that make us feel like home. For the food, just like other restaurants, there are some that are very delicious and some that are ok. You got to know their specialty (based on Awang’s explanation, it is for Jakarta food). In my personal preference, I like their Bebek Madura, Ayam Geprek, Mie Ayam, Bubur Ayam and Gado-Gado. For appetizer, their Sate Ayam is delicious, Tahu isi is good, Tempe mendoan is too thick to be called mendoan (should be just Tempe goreng) but it’s delicious. Some food that I feel need improvement (doesn’t mean they’re not good) are Rendang, Iga Bakar, Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng Tek Tek. In general their portion is very generous and food are delicious enough to make us come back 2 nights in a row

Good food, authentic indonesian food. My fave goes to Kwetiao (we tried Bun version), Nasi bungkus Padang is nice too, and Bakso is nice during cold/winter season. Portion is ok, price is ok too for NYC i guess. Recommended if you're in area.
